I think the bigger news is that Gilder also removed CIEN from his list. Wow. CIEN was a telecosm stalwart, one of his earliest entires to the list. Gilder bases the removal on CIEN's Cyras acquisition and its continuing move (in the wrong direction) embracing Sonet. Kudos to Gilder, he's been rock solid consistent with his overarching all optical "lambdasphere" theme. Ciena has, I believe, been one of the best if not THE best performing stocks on his list over the last 18 months or so. Yet he removes CIEN from the telecosm table because he believes CIEN is now moving its business in the wrong direction. Good for him. I love the GTR and drop everything to read it the morning it comes out. LNOP and XLA have been moving nicely. I'm looking into STOR and PRCM. I own JDSU, AVNX and LNOP, and I still can't figure why NTAP isn't on the Gilder list. He had a great opportunity to add it at $40 last month.
