Heinz: I don't contradict your general thesis, but what are we doing here, really ?

Are we trying to proselytize the SI message board readers into believing what we believe? Just guess what the future will hold? Or, profit from market directions?

I've given up on the 'buy and hold' strategy awhile ago. So I try to see what is going on near term and how the macro-economic picture will impact us down the road. My main objective is to benefit from the market direction and individual stocks. Right now, the wind is blowing in favor of stocks despite the back drop of weaker economic conditions domestic and abroad. It's a contradiction to be sure,

Frankly, I don't like the situation, but speculation is rampant out there, and there is obviously a lot of money that has poured into mutual funds and trickling back into equities with a devil may care complacency.
