Jim, During the CC, AMD said that the Palomino would have architectural enhancements that would increase per clock performance "a little bit". They once again emphasized that the main difference between the T-bird and the Palomino was PowerNow!. This concerns me greatly. The enhancements may give them a viable entry into the laptop market, but I don't see how minor enhancements will allow the level of frequency scaling that the desktop product will need. In addition, I thought I heard a hint of subterfuge when the said that they still "plan" on introducing 1.5 Ghz in Q2 and 1.7 in 2H. I know that I'm reading between the lines, but I trust my instincts. Pravin.
