I don't really care much about this story per se .... JJ going away even for a short time, is a good thing. He is a waste of air space. Perhaps it will make room for Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Roy and Niger Innis. (And of course J.C. Watts, I really like him) What does concern me is the message that this sends. Like it or not, JJ is a role model to many blacks. This incredibly irresponsible behavior sets a bad example. This is especially harmful in the black community where, the illegitimate rate is 2 out of 3 and the rate of abortion is 3x that of white women. Yes, JJ is supporting the child as he should, but, most people don't have the financial means to do so. The message that everybody does it... well I cant think of enough critical words to describe how harmful that could be. Black leaders need to enforce the message that this is very, very wrong. It will also be interesting to see, what news organizations had this story and spiked it.
