I'm biased for sure after 35 years in the forest products industry but be assured that if it made better economic sense to build with steel it would be happening. Termite arguments like the one this guy has are red herrings. Termites like moisture, doesn't steel rust? Structural integrity in a fire goes to wood, steel buckles and collapses at relatively low temperatures. Steel conducts electricity, try wiring a steel frame and compare costs. The list goes on and on as I'm sure you have seen if you are looking at the wood products web pages too.
