Previously I wondered what was meant by the term homophobia and whether there is a consensus on the meaning. Personally, I don't fear gays, but I am against special laws for them. For example, in my state, a landlord has the right to deny renting an apartment to an unmarried hetero couple, but not a homosexual couple.
