Tom, now you have scratched my philosophical itch!

In my opinion, bottom line is - we have no choice but to allow natural evolution
to take place, otherwise time will go backward and human progresses
will be stopped and reversed its course. Evolutions and changes are
always unconfortable and often painful experiences, but without them
no significant progresses can be made.

The world is full of real examples. Countries and nations which are
too affraid to allow changes and evolutions in their societies in recent
pasts are now stuck in place and face huge social and economic problems.
Those who dared and allowed their cultures and societies to evolve went
thru periods of pains and social instabilities - but eventually comes out
much stronger and more free than those who seeked to control through
fears of the unknowns.

The internet and communication revolution is a natural evolution of human
progress. Sure there will be lots of pain and learnings. But the more pains
and learnings we'll do, the better we'll evolve and be ready for the
future. Those nations who seek to control this evolution thru fear of the
unknowns will languish in the long run - because ultimately they have to
face up to it.

Natural evolutions can't be stopped, it can only be delayed.
