Teddy Kennedy has done more than anyone to marginalize the Kennedy name. He should get more objective press, to show what a dope he is. I've watched him in the Ashcroft hearings. He is an unmitigated idiot. You could almost hear the other senators doing Gore-like groans into their microphones as he ranted irrationally. Like so many demolibs, Kennedy's appeal is entirely to emotion rather than rationality, but he's not nearly as good at it as the others are. Biden of Delaware (perhaps the Judiciary committee's runner-up to Kennedy, or at least tied with Diane Feinstein of California) at least is more entertaining to watch, although not by much.
