As blackouts hit, San Francisco sues power producers

This suggests the solution to California's energy problems. While California has limited supplies of natural gas, independent of price, and it has no available coal, even if coal to gas conversion plants were possible, it needs to look to its own natural advantages to solve its problems. What renewable natural resources does California possess in easily recovered economic quantities? Lawyers and consumer advocates!

It is likely that the energy content of a single fully gasified California trial lawyer can power a small city for 24 hours at peak consumption.

It also seems likely that the ongoing supply of consumer advocates is sufficient to serve in the place of a dozen Diablo Canyon nuclear plants, without any of the siting problems. A single consumer advocate harnessed in the basement of every single family home should serve as an economical distributed power system that reduces the load on the power grid.
