I only buy puts but don't short stocks and puts did very well in the fall and early winter. However, I never disparaged a company nor did I want traders to follow my posts so that I could cover these trades and then go long. There is alot of evidence on Silicon Investor of traders doing exactly that and what these traders didn't realize is that is illegal and if they are investigated they will be in some trouble. It is just a matter of the SEC deciding on how far they want to take these investigations. But with a new SEC chief, there will be changes and those changes are going to surprise alot of traders. HJ
