In reference to US Citizens opening an account with GLIS, are you
not subject to Canadian W/H taxes on dispositions? You need to review
this carefully. My wife is Canadian, I am US Citizen. She has permanent residence in Canada, I in US. We travel back & forth frequently. I am able to monitor and trade her accounts from both US and Canada via power of Atty, even though I am not a Canadian Citizen.
I am considering opening an account in my name, with US residency
with either Waterhouse or Lombard.

I have heard mixed feelings regarding executions using E*trade, but little of Lombard. My experience with GLIS executions is exceptional, even though the verbal phone operators are young, naive, new and poorly trained in my view. Electronic trading thru GLIS is exceptional.

I would like to hear of execution claims from others using E*trade, Lombard, or Waterhouse.
