well Tom here it is in a nutshell..

Demand for Flash is relatively high.. but the catch is, its simply too expensive.. and people are going with low end or settling for what comes with their cameras/pdas.. Its interesting because digital cameras are selling like mad, and yet stocks like SNDK, SSTI are still ridiculously cheap, right?

but if I had a digital camera, I know damn well that I would want at least 64mb so I could snap away.. so if people start paying the price, this sector will exlode.. but if we have a hard landing and people buy less PDA devices and Digital cameras, and the ones who DO buy simply take the 8 or 16mb modules that come with them and work with that- well, i guess thats why there are such huge short positions in the flash stocks..

I think a key point is that Flash memory really is seperate from SDRAM.. Sales of flash memory are still gaining momentum, and supply is relatively short so until I see that change I cant believe anything else

... Didnt someone mention AIRN had a lockup exp. ? Stock looks ready to explode but for some reason thats hanging over me.. ?
