Saw a quote in ActiveTrader Magazine
The life that is unexamined is not worth living - Plato
Funny how the market is probably the best slap in the face for showing us who we really are..making us examine every psychological aspect about ourselves in all facets of the trade...i.e. preparation, response for entry or inaction, response for exit or inaction and finally, a review of the trade itself..why I entered, why I exited, what state of mind was I in, was it during string of losses, wins, mixed results, revenge trading, emotionless trading, ego was in check, damaged, inflated, etc.
Makes me wonder how someone who isn't truly honest with themselves or the people around them about who they are could possibly expect to trade the markets profitably. I'd suspect that most liars and frauds in personal life couldn't make a dime while those that have healthy relationships with those around them either family or friends or co-workers probably have a better chance for success. Just my opinion :)
