Maybe it can when the fed changes direction precipitously as it did on 1/3. Or maybe that was a climatic bottom on 1/2; I sure felt panicky that night.

I agree with you that this isn't over yet. The folks celebrating tonight, planning on going deeper into margin tomorrow, and lining up winner-take-all short term options positions are making poor decisions and putting their financial lives at risk. But I think it's entirely possible that we've passed the inflection point.

I think patience is in order for both bulls and bears.
