That is a really good point. Thanks... I love this exchange of ideas. You are right, its not just about finding what works for you, but also about stopping what isn't working for you. The hard part is identifying what those are I suppose. My journal is my best friend.

I also like your ideas about not finding the exact bottoms or tops. If a trade has potential, then why not be satisfied cutting out just a slice of that move? If I try for the whole pie, I will get my fingers slapped quite often. Rolling up trailing stops as I go has really helped me with this issue.

I tend not to be the type of person that likes to exit 1/2 a position. Either I want out, or I don't. That's just a personal thing though. I hear that works very well for others. Do that technique work consistently for you?
