Dave and thread - I now have W2000. Its the best. I had W98 and it started to go wrong. I have a Toshiba 7020CT with docking station.

I eventually lost all my data on my C drive and so I decided to try and install W2000 the first time it stopped and refused to go on at one of the last operations. I lost patience, formatted the C drive reinstalled W98 and then upgraded to W2000 and it worked like a dream and it has ever since.

It starts up quicker and it even closes down without having to be re-booted in the process.

W2000 is great. I don't use it as a large or medium scale business user, just as a stand alone unit.

When people find out from others how good it is compared to 98 I think MSFT will get a lot more conversions ot W2000.

If this is the expeirience of others then MSFT must be a good bet from here on in in my view.

Best regards,

L
