Best Rumour: coupla daze ago, before the "rolling blackouts" began and power outages were still unthinkable the main electrics grid in SillyValley was in immediate jeopardy of going down. Before this could happen, at the last minute an anonymous "angel" somewhere up in Washington State came through with a batch of electricity to keep chip plants running. Everybody is saying, "it was Bill Gates!" Women (ahem, ladies) were seen on the streets of San Francisco wearing fur ~ a practice which would have, until recently left them open to public ridicule by these young, ever-present / self-appointed Politically Correct "Animal Rights" zealots. As one fur-clad lady might have said to one leather-clad young zealot: "It's OK now, darling ~ we've turned down our thermostats and are all doing our bit to save energy - the natural way!"
