Personally, I am in favor of legalizing the zone. First, I think less rules are better in any sport. Rules that are difficult for fans and referees to see are burdensome. Also, I think that in the last 10-15 years the NBA has gradually figured out how to skirt the rules, and everybody plays a "de facto" zone defense.
