MB and gang:
Have been a bear for so long that I'm growing claws and fur. As a result, I have been pondering how things might evolve as we move into a "deflationary environment" (I like to be polite, so I won't use the dreaded "D" word) and been sniffing around for situations that might actually work out as we move in that direction.
Under the heading of "even the blind squirrels get lucky", in the process of doing some due diligence for a client, I have unearthed an early-stage start-up (words which should strike terror into my heart) that has some interesting promise. As I know most folks are not (and should not) be interested in such a critter, I will not post any details with respect to the company. Also, I have no interest in "promoting" anything, especially in such a worrisome market environment. That said, I recently wrote up some comments (unsolicited, I might add) for some of my gang, with respect to this situation. For any who might be curious, PM me.
