I am not saying that there is a down side. I am only saying, that parents, not some outside agency, have the right to determine, what and when their child is exposed to gay or any other material. Your beliefs are valid, but I am sure that you are not implying that they should be forced upon others.
The Boy Scouts matter is decided by SCOTUS. They are private and have the right to associate as they see fit. I don't see in this case, any insinuation that anybody has more or less control over their sexual urges. Indeed one of the arguments made in this case, is that one would not send a young man out with a bunch of girl scouts.
This all strays from the point I was making which, is that there a difference between gay rights and a gay agenda and can one be opposed to some aspects of a gay agenda and still be supportive equal protection for all.
And, I don't know what a radical v.s. mainstream gay agenda may be. I was only pointing out that these may be fringe issues that most gays may not care about. I did not want to broad brush.
But,,, for the sake of sport, I will give you some fodder if you like. I consider the Lesbian Avengers to be radical. Handing out leaflets to middle school students, (maximum age 12) that promote a gay life style, carry signs that say "We recruit" and the like, seems a bit out there to me. Oh, at least one time, on they had a phone number on the leaflet that was a gay pornography number. They claim, that this number was a mistake. Well I got some ocean front property in Arizona too. But what the hell were they doing with 12 year olds in the first place ? |
