Bernie had to know, Bernie had to know that defaulting G's debt to buy time would also cause the current commotion. We might say it had its intended effects. Gilder's optimism for the technology remains. He's "baffled" by others not seeing it as well. His faith in Bernie has been crushed. :( Perhaps everybody just expected a bit too much too soon. With a little patience and some savvy marketing, G's birds will make its investors quite happy. What's killing us now is a lack of faith in the people involved.
