Clinton is off the hook!
Sources: Clinton-Ray deal struck

Clinton must acknowledge some misconduct

MSNBC

WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 - President Clinton has reached a deal with independent
counsel Robert Ray to avoid being indicted after leaving office, and will
offer a written acknowledgment of misconduct in the Monica Lewinsky
investigation, sources tell NBC News.
NBC NEWS' Pete Williams said Clinton would acknowledge some kind of
misconduct in misleading people under oath in the Paula Jones case and in
the Kenneth Starr investigation of the Lewinsky scandal.
The agreement is expected to be announced later Friday by Ray's
office. There were reports that after the announcement, Ray's office would
shut down.
Under the deal, Clinton will not be prosecuted - but he must admit
that he "may have misled" people.

From a 20-year-old real estate deal in Arkansas to a twentysomething White
House intern with tales of trysts in the White House, the investigation of
the president has been a long, strange trip. What was this thing called
Whitewater? In an effort to help make sense of the tangled tale, here are
some interactive guides, glossaries and portraits of some of the key players
in the drama.
