It's "weaker" only in that it is easier to be bad than it is to stay good.

If somebody has trouble accepting responsibility for his criminal acts, like Bill, then the easier thing to do is to just change the mental rules so what you did isn't really wrong anymore. The problem is that it just doesn't work in the long run.

I learned a long, long time ago that what goes around comes around. Being honest and not breaking the law is not a problem for me. It used to be, but I learned my lesson.
