Michael,

I am a communications sytem engineer. If there is a document explaining DWM tecnology I'd very much like to see it. Perhaps you can post it or give a link to someplace that carries it on the internet.

I'm highly skeptical of any claim to achieve 6M bps over phone lines. Shannon's channel capacity theorem is formulated in a manner that is independent of processing and many very smart people have unsuccessfully tried to find a way around it. Without the use of compression, the raw capacity of a phone channel is about 30 kbps. Compression does not change the capacity but does allow a higher user data rate by transforming say a 300 kbyte message into a 200 kbyte message which is transmitted and then restored to the original 300 kbyte.

The DWM scheme does not appear to be about compression, but rather increasing the link capacity. Not likely.

I like to be open minded, but there are many scientific crackpot ideas that attract attention.

Not too long ago there was a news story about some engineering professor in Ireland or Scotland who was going to present a paper disproving Einstein's relativity theory, the Special Theory no less. Well needless to say, I've never heard of that guy since--and if he had anything real it would certainly have been big news. Remember the "cold fusion" guys. Had experimental physicists running around for months trying to replicate their bogus results. State of Utah ready to secede from the Union to protect its "franchise". Recall that they didn't want to tell anybody how they did it either. Well guess what--they never did it, just fooled themselves into thinking they did.

I wish you well--but I think there are many sounder investments to make.

Lyle
