Actually, rephrasing the question that way would not get to the point that I am interested in.

Statistics can be used in a lot of ways. There are many who look at the prison populations and base their racist beliefs on the proportion of minorities who are convicted of felonies as compared to the overall population. The fact is, the vast majority of any racial segment is generally law abiding. Therefore to draw a conclusion that since most drug dealers are xxxx race or most murderers are yyyy race, having a prejudice against these races is justified.

Back to the point, it is true that heterosexual men are statistically the most likely people to be child molesters, however it is my belief that the vast majority of heterosexual (and homosexual) men are repulsed by the mere thought.

I would also suggest that there isn't a one to one relationship to the number of children who are abused to the number of abusers. I believe that any given abuser will have multiple victims.

With that said, there are very few people that I would leave my son alone with. When he is old enough to go on group camping trips, I cannot imagine not being there.
