Further to the company's news release in Stockwatch Dec. 5, 2000, Asia Pacific Resources was informed on Jan. 16, 2001, that, effective at the open of business Jan. 17, 2001, its shares have ceased trading on the Nasdaq Small Cap Market. The company had failed to maintain a minimum bid price of $1 (U.S.) over 30 consecutive trading days as required by Nasdaq's rules. The company's shares will continue to trade on the Toronto, Stuttgart and Frankfurt stock exchanges under the symbol APQ.
As of Jan. 17, 2001, the company's shares are being quoted on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board (OTCBB) under the symbol APQCF. The company will continue to make all the required regulatory filings to federal and state authorities in the United States, ensuring its common shares continue to be available to U.S. investors.
