I did not say that was "ok"- I was merely extending E's let's protect the children argument- look at the figures from the department of justice. I, as a woman, have never been sexually attacked by other women. But I have been attacked, or had attempts made on me by men. Walking to school at 14 a masturbating man asked me directions- I was so startled I gave him directions, while another part of my brain was processing the very bizarre situation. All the obscene phone callers I've ever had have sounded like men. I was approached by a man who wanted to photograph me (alone, in a park)- when I was in 6th grade. I ran home and told my parents who called the police. I had a bottle shoved up my ass by some boys when I was in 6th grade and I was jumped by a study partner outside a restaurant in college. MY view of men and their control over their sexuality is a jaundiced one. I could easily have been raped a few times if I wasn't tall and very athletic. My experiences are not unique. Most women I meet have similar experiences. So I am prejudiced. I would discriminate- I would never hire a male babysitter. If anything happened to my husband I am not sure I could marry until my children were safely out of the house (boyfriend's have a terrible rate of sexual and physical abuse).

I can understand E's point- but admitted homosexuals are a silly target. The really harmful male abusers are secretive men- people think they are great guys! Super neighbors! Such a nice man. You won't know who they are until children have already been harmed. That was my point. I hate silly targets and diversions from real issues.
