I am indeed saying that the lack of a blood bond puts those children much more at risk.

Intuitively, that seems sensible. What is your source for that conclusion and what are the numbers? Do you have numbers for abuse in general (not only sexual)? Are there any comparisons (say) for babysitters (non familial) of different genders.

I guess it is difficult to get statistics on actual probability of offending, in that the children have contact predominantly with significant others with a blood bond, which adds opportunity as a criterion to any attempt for a scientific evaluation of criminality, and this opportunity is undoubtedly responsible for the extremely high offender status within families.
