It would seem impossible to norm the child violence data because most men do not have primary responsibility for raising children- especially infants. It would be interesting if it were possible to compare- but unfortunately in our culture a man who stays home to care for the kids is already going to be skewing the statistics by the mere fact that he is staying home to care for the kids. It's too bad. It would be interesting if they could force 1000 men chosen at random and 1000 women to stay home- and then see who has the greatest incidence of abuse to the children.
