I hadn't yet read this post when I said I thought you were being facetious about prohibiting males from working with children.

You seem to think I've "targeted homosexuals." Do you? I haven't. I believe I have applied precisely the same principles to homosexual as to heterosexual superintendency of young people. If you think otherwise, would you cite the statement that makes you think it? I'd like a chance to retract or explicate, since my views are the same in both cases.

Another thought about all this:

The culture has changed a lot in the last few years. The erotization of prepubescence is proceeding apace, as is evidenced in advertising and in television programming. We have a new, commercially driven, transgressive culture going on.

This might be relevant to what protocols will be considered adequate in guaranteeing the sexual safety of people under the age of consent from those of any sexual orientation who might want to have sex with them.
