don't forget, HE started it, by invading Kuwait. of course the state dept. encouraged him via indifference when he began to threaten Kuwait.

i agree though that what has happened since the war concluded is to be condemned. there is simply no good reason to keep up the bombing raids and not allow Iraq to do with its oil revenues as it wishes.

the Palestinians are another matter altogether. their wish for a homeland and freedom from oppression is legitimate imo.
