Cheryl,
I find your analysis is first rate and I am in total agreement with you. It is uncanny how similar our perspectives are -- including "I smell collusion". I was thinking I was just becoming paranoid, which is not hard in this market environment where the significance of technology is a dead last to interest rates and stock manipulation.

Do you have any further comments on the nature of the collusion you were thinking of?

I listened to Sunw's presentation on the significance of the Cobalt acquisition which took place on Wednesday, and it become very clear to me that the days of low end servers by Dell or Compaq seem to be numbered, along with, HP, IBM and MSFT as dominant players in this field -- at least if one is to believe Ed Zander, which I personally do. I hope others who have not listened to it do so:

Having Dell, Compaq, Hwp, IBM and MSFT against you, and the 'analysts' who are in bed with them, might constitute a collusion.

Time for my medication.

All the best,
Michael
