Yesterdays action: short covering in advance of earnings. Todays action: shorts reentering in response to downgrades. Mondays action: who knows? Look for short covering on the first good news. Options max-pain: maybe, maybe not. Compelling given todays action, but IMO this close to expiration the options market is driven by the stock traders, and not the other way round. P. P.S. Anyone want 10 SUNW $35's and 5 SUNW 32.5 Jan 2001 calls? I can get you a gooooood price tomorrow :( Burned Bad on Options Expiration Today. Part II of my ongoing education.
