He actually thought people would buy his word processor over PCs because that was all PC was good for. I could have bet the whole farm that Wang was going straight down the toilet. Tucci actually made it into something. He has got my confidence, for now. Tucci came to Wang long after the damage was done. He wasn't even an employee of the company until just before bankruptcy. He changed it into a services company, brought it out of bankruptcy and sold it. He was at Unisys, which had become a services company, before Wang. My problem is that Tucci has never run a product company, and has never run a fast growth, innovative company--ever. His leadership style is stealth.
