There is nothing about universal suffrage that suggests that we somehow have to accept a vote which is improper. Just as those who cannot pass a driving test should not get driver's licenses so those incapable of casting a proper vote should not get their vote counted. It is pretty easy to get a sample ballot and get help if one has doubts about their ability.

If you don't know what duties or even legal capabilities the Florida Secretary of State has in regard to voter education I think you should quit criticising the office for failure to fund voter education efforts. The primary responsibility for elections rests at the county level and you should look there first for your culprit.

I have continued to evaluate the Florida situation on the available evidence. As more and more evidence comes in charge after charge against the republicans is refuted, in fact shown to be totally baseless. There is no reason to believe at this point that that will not continue to be the case.
