I may be off the beam here but isn't there a long history of outstanding scientific achievement with little or nothing to show for it from the standpoint of profits? For instance, it seems to me the whole semiconductor business could have been Bell's. What about lucy's culture has changed that should make us more hopeful? Disclosure - Long lu common.
