L.G: Please correct my interpretation where wrong.

The data pts are end of week ratios of the COMPX/NDX. The bar is in weeks.(The sma period for determining a moving average can vary between 1 to any number of weeks you choose. In your last reply you state it is weekly which is 1. An SMA (!) is an exact plot of the data and serves no useful purpose.; the plot clearly shows it is not 1)

The sma and the data have a large spread indicating that the period of the sma is extremely large and the starting point of the sma (extrapolated from the past) is much lower than the first data point.

Could you let me know the value of the period used for the sma and the pre start pt. data base used.?. Without that a chart no matter how pretty is hard to decipher.

Thanks.
