As we got more time to think about all the aspects of NASDAQ planned changes, I am trying to put it all together. The more I think about it the less sense it all makes to me.
For instance: Supermontage is supposed to show us three best quote levels from each participant instead of one that we have today. Sounds nice and looks like it should increase transparency. But it looks quite differently if you take into account decimalisation. We are going to see 1/100 instead of 1/16 with small sizes at all levels. So, do we really care to see all the microlevels with 100 shares which are going to clogg the quotes making them cumbersome and unreadable?
Just one of many concerns...
