Thanks, Terence. Vet is mostly right, as I've since figured out. No trading = no update = zeros in every column, including time. The specific symbol isn't critical. That's a bit of a pain when you log on a few minutes before the market opens and everything updates to zero <g>.

But it isn't quite that simple. For some reason, it isn't true of every issue -- one issue updated price/bid/ask/time just fine this morning, even though it didn't trade for half an hour. The others I listed earlier sat there with big fat goose eggs until after they traded.

Another issue (don't know if it makes any difference, but it's on the AMEX) showed zeros while the price remained unchanged, even after it showed trading volume on the Datek server, and then started acting normally once the price moved off last night's close.

Hope this helps you diagnose.
