Congratulations folks. From this point forward, you have no more need to ever dwell on Clinton, Gore or the Dems again, nor can you blame them for any failing from this moment forward. It's your ballgame now. The Republican Party is now in charge of the White House, the Congress (with big Dick's vote) and the Supreme Court (see Gore v. Bush).

GW doesn't need a single Democratic vote to make his vision, such as it is, a reality (and given his Ashcroft and Norton appointments and recent press statements, he appears to have no interest in seeking Dem votes).

Rather, in fixing what he claims to be broken, GW can rely solely on his own inestimable intellect and persuasive powers over his Republican Congress, as well as the certainty that the 7 members of the Court appointed by Republicans will uphold his efforts against any challenge.

Godspeed to you GW, have at it. I will stop back here in September 2002 to see where it all stands. Have a good one.
