Dish Denies Gay TV Deal Multichannel News 1/19/01 2:44:00 PM Monica Hogan Despite a published report on the MSN Web portal, a spokesman for EchoStar Communications Corp. denied Friday that its Dish Network service plans to launch Gay Television Network. Palm Springs, Calif.-based Co-Media Inc. issued a press release earlier this week saying it would launch the new network exclusively on Dish Feb. 2. At its Web site, wearegaytv.com, the programmer pitched the service for $19.95 per month along with a free satellite system. Calls to Co-Media's toll-free investor-relations phone number were not returned Friday.
