I haven't been watching CNBC as much these days, since I have been busy at work. Have any of the on air personalities admitted that they got caught up in the dot com hype of last year. I remember that last winter all you would hear about on CNBC was how the new economy was doing so well, and the old economy was finished.

Specifically, there were stories on how out of touch Warren Buffet was , the death of value investing etc.. Now that the year is over, and the fundamental value oriented types have been proving right, has CNBC apologized for their faulty reporting.

I am happy to see people like David Faber attack the "me too" analysts. I think CNBC should start every interview with an an analyst with the question " the last time you were here you said that stock X was a great buy, since then it has fallen/risen, what do you think now?...

The guests should be held accountable for their recommendations.

Perhaps someone should do study of the performance of stocks recommended by guests on CNBC.
