Are you out of you mind?! Are you telling me that both SBC and VZ are dumping 6 billion each only to satisfy the FCC?!
This not only does not make financial sense, it would be suicide
.Keep i mind that 39.99$ ore month is real revenue, and with TW/AOL and ATT coming with cable ROBCs have to
offer DSL. They do not need in this case CLECs or FCC.
Until now, services were underfunded and behind equipment
installation., but with ATT and AOL coming to town, this will change quickly.
Why do you think Bell South and SBC said that extra cost of
serving DSL will erode a little eps!!!!!!!(services).
They are forced by market conditions to do it, and this is why they are installing lots of gears.
It is much easier to activate them then install.
