Looks like Corvis is farther in the "bark like a dog" doghouse.

More money, yes. Longer term, yes. Dollars per year, Less.

Williams is also able to flex it's customer muscle by limiting their purchase to less than 100 million including the field trial system because of the rapid change in technology. Smart.

They also only pay for 50% of purchases under regular terms. the other 50% is paid when the system is 50% full or 9 months whichever comes first. Care to guess which one is most likely? :)

There are also some limitations to sales to third parties and delayed delivery penalties to contend with.

Williams clearly has some major leverage with Corvis. That scene from Pulp Fiction with the leather strap and the ball strangely comes to mind.
