I've been reading and trying to understand what this company is doing: I see how the stem cell technology is growing, and how the preservation and utilization of "cord blood stem cells" makes sense, but I wonder, is it feasible that enough people will pay this company $50 a year to make this company profitable.

While we support the development and growth of allogeneic unrelated donor banks, we believe it is essential to make all expectant parents aware they have an alternative to discarding their baby's cord blood or donating it for use by an unrelated third party. This will continue to be our corporate mission in hopes that someday cryopreserving every newborn's cord blood for their possible future use becomes a common occurrence.

Really? Anyone? TIA . . .
