A new Ampex patent: Image-Modification Methods, patent # 6169840, was issued 2 Jan 2001. Upon first glance I thought this was related to ITG's new technology. However, after a closer reading of the arcane language of the patent, it appears to be a method for comparative screening of images (or waveforms for that matter) for use in manufacturing or other settings. However, I would not be surprised if some of the elements of this invention could be used in the ITG stuff. DrD
