ok, I'll check it out tomorrow. During exploration of W2K I got very sidetracked by a video game called Space Cadet. I guess the name says it all. Pretty amusing game. I got up over a three million score already. And as I was playing it I was thinking "What kind of person sat there and wrote the code for this amazing video stuff?" Geez. Whoever it was, Microsoft should hire him (or her-ahem).. Still plotting how to get the 4100 on the net. Discovered my ancient Zoom modem on this 400 box apparently isn't even compatible with W9x let alone W2K. Go figure. So thinking I may buy a new 56k modem that would work for both boxes to tide me over til I get DSL installed, find my DSL modem (I know it's here somewhere!), get a router or other wise set up a network (I am hooked on the idea of building a network--that was a good site you posted btw although the other stuff I have read seems to indicate Linksys equip tends to be buggy). Any recs out there for an awesome 56k modem? Seem to recall US Robotics was considered hot stuff awhile back. laterz, Rick
