Hi Wharfie and all,
Sorry I haven't been hangin' out at NNBM much, but I'm still in the market! I'll be around!
My excuse for this truancy is that I've been spending a ton of internet time with an old friend in the D.C. area planning a trip we're making together later this Spring. He's a member of Tom Brokaw's " Greatest Generation" who fought in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII when he was an 18 year old kid.. and was awarded the Silver Star for heroism. His old infantry unit is conducting a tour through Germany retracing their battles...Cologne, Heidleburg, Nurenburg, Munich, Attendorn, Berchtesgarten, Dachau and Salzburg are all on the itinerary.( His unit liberated the infamous Dachau) I'm really looking forward to joining all these wonderful men on this tour. (Does that make me a bonafide "geezer-ette"?)
We're also going to London, Paris, Vienna , Prague and Wil,Switzerland on our own, so there's been a lot of planning and booking to do. We got everything nailed down tonight, finally!! (Expedia is a great place to arrange hotel bookings at some special internet rates, in case anyone is interested.)
Clappy, all that talk about your old convertible brought back some great memories...of a red 1967 Buick Riviera convertible that we had ' way back when '.....hated to part with that old rag top!! The kids loved it, and so did our dog!!
Well, I hope Elaine Garzarelli is right..I caught her on TV a couple days ago...she says she believes we're in for a major bull market move this year!! I'm ready,Elaine...
