I can't post this on the LWP thread, so I'm posting this here. This is part of the LWP thread header:

"This thread is a place for friendly exchanges between posters of more liberal political stances. It is not intended to
be an open political forum, rather a watering hole and safe place for lefties of all degrees to exchange ideas, joke, rant, wring their hands, and flirt, preferably all at the same time."

How many other factions of the left other than liberals ever post there? Are there Marxists, Leninists, Stalinists, Trotskyites, Maoists, and IRA members posting there? Really, since when did liberals become the spokespeople of the left. When I was going to college in the late sixties and early seventies, the REAL left were the groups I have mentioned above. The liberals were slightly left of center, but seemed mostly interested in having a warm fuzzy feeling because they "cared" about the downtrodden working class, but were never really willing to put their butts on the line to try to change things. Just some observations from a person who was personally involved with the radical left while at college.
