the paper said NATO targeted the embassy because it was rebroadcasting radio signals for the Yugoslav military (VJ).

Oopss... Did we happen to catch the Chinese involved in a willful act of violating neutrality?

Seems to me the Chinese government has some explaining to do to those who were killed as a result of their meddling and partisanship.

"The embassy was struck as a rebro," Allen said, "not as a political target." In other words, once it was determined that the embassy was rebroadcasting signals, NATO selected it as a target without double-checking that it wasn’t also a politically sensitive target.

Hmmm.... well Schitt happens... especially when our folks do a "RF/DF" on the source of yugoslav military radio traffic, triangulate the GPS coordinates, and then program those coordinates into a JDAMS guided bomb.

Paul Beaver of Jane’s looks at the issue differently. The question is not whether NATO deliberately bombed the Embassy, but "did the Chinese government knowingly help the Belgrade authorities?"

If you don't want to be hit, don't make yourself a target.

Regards,

Ron
